Gary Burroughs Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society - Schofield on Apr. 23, 2025.
The following obituary was written by Gary prior to his passing.
Gary, a lifelong resident of central Wisconsin, passed away 17 March 2025, at the age of 76.
His early years were spent on the country estate of his supportive family. Work with animals and gardens was required. All and all, it was a great way to live and develop.
In 1966, Gary graduated from Mosinee high school as a proud Mosinee Indian. He remained a Mosinee Indian his entire life, regardless of what the wimpy PC school administrators chose to eventually do.
In 1968, Gary became part of the Army (Drafted). He remained involved with the military for 30 years in Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserve components.
His post high school education led to degrees in marketing and police science. Over the years, he worked at an assortment of interesting jobs and eventually retired from Portage County.
During his life, he was surrounded by great friends and a wonderful family. He was lucky enough to see his kids grow and be accomplished, successful, and well-balanced adults. His brothers and wife deserve special mention for everything they did for, and with, Gary.
In retrospect, it was a wonderful and fun life. Although, the last couple minutes kind of sucked.
Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting the family at this time. Online condolences can be made at MWCS.WS.
