Mr. Gary "Zero" Wayne Burton Sr., age 72, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, November 22, 2024. Mr. Burton was born in Adair County, KY on May 22, 1952 to the late Henry Thomas Burton and Nora Evelyn Coffee Burton. He was a member of Minor's Lane Baptist Church, Laborers Local, 576 and was a beloved and cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.
In addition to his parents, his son, Gary W. Burton Jr.; sister, Brenda Keith and brothers, Ronald Burton and Freddie Burton preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Judy Beckmann Burton; 2 children, Todd (Victoria) and Melinda; grandchildren, Kandace, Todd Jr., Stefanie (Kaleb), Jessica, Chelsea, Lindsey, Brittany, Cory and Ariel; great-grandchildren, Blakeleigh, Kooper, Zina, Cheznie, Scarlett, Silas, Melody and Leland; siblings, Audrey Burton (Harold), Sharon Burton and Greg Burton (Rosanna) and a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 on Monday, November 25, 2024 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Pennsylvania Run Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of his service at 2:30 at the funeral home.
