Gary Busby Obituary
Gary was born December 26, 1967 in Douglasville, Georgia, the son of the late Steve Lawrence Busby and Rosalee Traylor Busby. He worked as a Water Distribution Supervisor for the City of Villa Rica prior to leaving for health reasons. Gary enjoyed being in the wood's turkey hunting and camping. He liked fishing and being on the greens with a good game of golf. He treasured his time with his wife of sixteen years and his family. Gary was Baptist by faith.
Gary is survived by his wife, Margaret "Elaine" Scott Busby of Villa Rica, mother, Rosalee Traylor Busby of Villa Rica, children, Jeffery Daniel Hardy of Villa Rica, Justin Hardy of Rockmart, Melissa Hardy of Rockmart, Raymond Iverson (Cassie) Busby of Dallas, Nate (Kaitlyn) Busby of Paulding County, siblings, Rebecca Busby of Villa Rica, Sam Busby of Villa Rica, Rita Morgan of Douglasville and eleven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at J. Collins Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be conducted Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of J. Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Fowler and Ray Busby officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunrise Gardens of Memories with Pasor Countryman offiaiating. The following gentlemen will servie as pallbearers: Ray Busby, Nathan Busby, Landon Hardy, Robert Ferguson, Lucas Perkins, Joe Morgan, Hunter Morgan and Cody Morgan.
