Gary Cardis Obituary
CARO, formerly FAIRGROVE – Mr. Gayre Lee “Gary” Cardis, age 89, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025.
Gary was born in Lansing, Michigan, on November 15, 1936, to Robert & Lucille (Gerlinger) Cardis. He married Joy Jones on November 27, 1959. Together they shared countless memories, raised their daughters, and celebrated 49 years of marriage before Joy’s passing in 2009. Gary was a member of the Midwestern Federation of Rocks & Minerals, Tri-County Branch.
He is survived by his daughters, Audrey Marker, and Laura (Jeff) Bernia; grandchildren, Tim (Libby), Amanda (Neil), Heather, and Matthew; sister, Ruth Addiss; and nieces, and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joy Cardis; brother, Doug Cardis; and his parents Robert & Lucille Cardis.
Private arrangements have been made.
