I grew up with "Burr Head"! We spent many a day on the diamonds around Cresaptown and Cumberland. He never allowed his struggle to keep him down. Secretly he was an inspiration to myself and many others I´m certain. One of the last conversations I had with my late mom was about Gary. She ask that I visit him while I was there. I´m so glad that I did. We reminisced about the old times we had in our personal lives and on the ball field. We laughed about his visit with his brother Buck to Tennessee. In life he was a hall of famer. Godspeed Gary!
