Gary was a sailor extradonaire! I was a landlubber! He invited me to go sailing. Ida wouldn't sail.. with him. Big clue that I ignored. He kept the boat on edge, I got wet and held tight with both hands. Fun, exciting, exhilarating! A wonderful memory of a special friend.

My favorite memory of Gary involved his great sense of humor. My favorite quote from him illustrated his philosophy on life. He said: "Ones stress level in life is directly proportional to the number of motors one owns". Priceless! I have quoted him many times to others. Gary, you are greatly missed.
