Pastor Gary D. Gray

God in His infinite wisdom called home His servant, Pastor Gary Gray, 80, of 1836 Ramblewood Drive, Petersburg, Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Bon Secours Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg. Pastor Gray was the Pastor of Resurrection Life Christian Church in Petersburg.
Pastor Gray was born July 20, 1944, in Pennsylvania to the late Hershel and Georgia Mea Gray. He served in the United States Navy as a Hospitalman for two years and was also an Optician for twenty years. Pastor Gray also served diligently in ministry for 26 years. In addition to serving as the Pastor of Resurrection Life, he also was a member of the Covenant Pastor's Association.
Left to cherish his precious memory are: his wife, Alice Gray; son, Anthony Gray and daughter-in-law, Christina Gray; granddaughters, Cheyla Gray, Autumn Gray and, Sierra Gray; siblings, Lavern Gray Love (Duane) and Guy Gray (Cathy); the families of Percy Law; the Bland family, specifically, Ruby Dance Fleming, Deloris Bland Cohen, Jerome Bland, and family; and a host of clergymen and women, church members, extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am, Friday, February 28th, 2025 at the Liberty Church International, 1124 W. Washington Street, Petersburg, VA. Minister James Brown will eulogize, and Brother Allen Bruce will officiate. Interment will follow at a later date at the Veteran's Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 10am, Friday, February 28th, at the church one hour prior to the start of the service.
