Gary Dwight Guidry, a lifelong resident of St. Martinville, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the age of 69.

Born on January 5, 1956, in St. Martinville, Gary dedicated over 30 years to a career in construction. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet nature, and kind heart. A man of few words, Gary's presence left a lasting impression on everyone he met-especially his co-workers, many of whom he worked alongside for decades.

Affectionately known as the "gentle giant," Gary was deeply loved by his family and community. He took pride in helping to care for his nieces and nephews and was always willing to lend a helping hand. On any given day, he could often be seen walking or running down Main Street, a familiar and comforting sight to those who knew him well.

Gary is survived by his siblings; John Williams (Veronica) of Columbia, SC, Amy Williams of St. Martinville, LA, and Finley Williams (Elaine) of St. Martinville, LA.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Gertie Mae Williams; father, Gilbert Guidry; two sisters, Marla Williams and Lydia Gayle Williams; two nieces, Allison Williams and Gertie Williams; two great nieces, Marlee Williams and Niriah Willis; and one great nephew, Katori Willis.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Louisiana Funeral Services & Crematory, 108 Hardware Road, Broussard, with visitation to follow.
