John H. Evans Funeral Home - GoshenIt is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary W. Hatcher, who departed this life on March 2, 2026, at the age of 82. Long time resident of Milford, OH. Gary was born on September 23, 1943, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to the late William E. Hatcher and Margaret Roberts Hatcher. He lived a life full of love, laughter, and service, leaving behind a profound legacy of kindness and generosity.
Gary was known for his compassionate spirit and infectious sense of humor, traits that could light up any room. Gary had a unique gift for making others smile and never met a stranger. He believed in the power of connection and always made it a point to say "I love you" before parting ways.
Gary was a proud graduate of Bowling Green High School and Western Kentucky University. He then enjoyed a fruitful career in pharmaceutical sales with Merck, where he devoted 32 years of his life before retiring. His intelligence and inquisitiveness were assets in his both his work and personal life. In recognition of his values and community service, Gary was a proud member of Milford Lodge #54 F&AM, where he actively participated in the Masonic community.
Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Suzanne (nee Bramer) Hatcher; Loving father of Todd (Cathy) Hatcher and Amy (Ron) Davis; Dear grandfather of Colleen Orr; Cherished brother of Alice (Alvin) Ford; Step-grandfather of Nick Robben, Katie Owen, Hannah Davis, and many step-great grandchildren. Gary is also survived by serveral nieces, nephews, great nieces, and dear friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home in Milford, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, where we will celebrate Gary's life and legacy together. Following the service, Gary will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery.
