Gary Hunley Obituary

Leroy was born May 29, 1953 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son of the late Froy and Ida Mae Caudill Hunley. Wife, Marsha Lowry Hunley, brothers, Jack Hunley, Troy Lee Hunley, and sister, Sue Anderson, also preceded in death.
Leroy was employed as a machinist in the Steel Workers Union #675 of Marion, Ohio until his retirement. He was a member of the Salyersville Masonic Lodge #769 F&AM, El Hasa Shriners, and Magoffin Co. Shriners Club. He loved spending time with his family and close friends above all.
Those left to mourn includes daughter, Heather Hunley of Salyersville, Kentucky, son, Gary Hunley and wife Darcy of Marion, Ohio, sisters, Wanda Whitt of Salyersville, Kentucky, Sharon Kay Phillips of Cincinnati, Ohio, Cleo Rita Harmon of Clyde, Ohio, Ruth Ann Miller of Jacksonville, Florida, grandchildren, Nicholas Hunley, Keenan Cook, Gabrielle Hunley, Gracelyn Hunley, Christian Jenner, great grandchild, Emmett Hunley, a host of family and friends who miss and love him.
Funeral services for Gary "Leroy" Hunley will be conducted Monday, January 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Dennis Marshall will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will be in the Hunley Cemetery on Vanzel Borders Road in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Sunday, January 12, 2025 after 5:00 PM and anytime prior to funeral services. Masonic Rites will be conducted Sunday, January 12, at 7:00 PM in the chapel by Salyersville Masonic Lodge #769 F&AM.
