Gary Carson Keisel, 69, of Norfolk, passed away on April 22, 2024 in Norfolk, VA.
Born on October 10, 1954 in Nassawadox, VA, he was the son of the late William A. Keisel and Betty Taylor Keisel. Gary was a US Army Veteran and worked as a civil servant for the Norfolk Navy Base as a pipe fitter. He loved metal detecting and spent many hours walking the beach finding treasures. He enjoyed life fully and will be missed by his friends and family, who were very dear to him.
Other than his Mother, Betty, Gary is survived by a son, Jake Carson Keisel of Richmond, VA and his mother, Juanita Marie Cole Keisel; a sister, Pamela Ward and husband, Kenneth "Abe" of Exmore, VA; two brothers, Robert Keisel and wife Toni, of Norfolk and William Keisel and wife, Deann of Kenson, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the Wessells Cemetery in Mears, VA.
Arrangements are by the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley, VA.
