Gary William Kidney, 61, a deeply loved father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 12th after living a life that was nothing short of remarkable.
Gary was one of those rare people who could light up any room he entered. With his legendary sense of humor, razor-sharp wit, and unmatched charm, he brought laughter and warmth wherever he went. He had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and, most importantly, loved. Whether it was through a perfectly timed joke or a heartfelt conversation, Gary had a way of lifting spirits and reminding us all not to take life too seriously.
He was not just funny-he was brilliantly funny. His quick comebacks, playful spirit, and ability to find joy in everyday moments left an unforgettable impression on everyone lucky enough to know him.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and James Kidney. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Renee; his son, Matthew; his sisters, Patricia and Nan; his brothers, Jimmy, Kevin, and Brian; his brother-in-law, Doug; his sister-in-law, Felicia; and many countless aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Though he may no longer be with us, Gary's love and legacy live on in countless stories, shared laughs, and cherished memories.
To his family, his friends, and his community, Gary was more than a great man-he was a force of nature. He will be missed beyond words, but his spirit, his laughter, and his love will continue to guide and inspire all who knew him.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 17 from 2-5 and 6-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home 115 Tindall Rd., Middletown. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 18 at 11 am at United Methodist Church of Atlantic Highlands 96 3rd Ave., Atlantic Highlands.
