Gary Elliott Kobo, of Walden, NY, passed away Sunday October 12, 2025, in Montgomery. He was 81.
The son of the late Frederick Charles Kobo and Constance Elizabeth (Slater) Kobo, he was born March 6, 1944 in North Canaan, CT.
Gary was a retired control technician for Orange and Rockland Utilities. He served in the United States Army from 1961 until his honorable discharge in 1964.
Gary was an avid NY Mets and Buffalo Bills fan. He loved his grandchildren deeply and always made sure to attend their many sporting, school or club events. Gary enjoyed his collections of coins, Hess Trucks and Matchbox Cars, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a long time member of United Methodist Church in Westbrookville & Greenville.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Kobo, son David Kobo & Terri Clifford, daughter Sharon Corallo & husband Chris, seven grandchildren Kayla (Scott), Amanda (Kyle), Mathew (Michelle), Jordan, Nicholas (Caeley), Cassandra, and Pamela, six great grandchildren Patrick, Jj, Kolby, Kennedy, Liam and Alex, sister Karen Palmer, sister/brother-in-laws Carol, Joyce, Laura & Jack and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 19, 2025, 1pm-3pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.
Military Honors will follow at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Children's Hospital 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
