STOW - Gary G. Kovach, 82, died January 14, 2024.
Born in Akron, he was a resident of Stow. Gary had been the owner of Kovach Sanitation for 32 years, before retirement. He was a member of Broadman Baptist Church in Cuyahoga Falls. Gary enjoyed playing softball and was a member of the senior travel team.
Preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Betty Kovach, and his brothers, Chuck, Steve, John, Bob, and Gene. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Teri Kovach; son, Bud (Jackie) Kovach; daughters, Geri (Chuck) Mendat, Kari Robertson; stepsons, Greg (Sherri) and Dodd Snow; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Maryanne (Jim) Murphy, and brother, Joseph Kovach.
Pastor Rick Mangrum will conduct service 11 AM, Monday, January 22, 2024, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call from 1 - 3 PM, Sunday, January 21, 2024, at the funeral home.

I used to work for Gary in 1970 and 1971. in 1973 I went into business for myself. In 1982 Gary bought half of my business. It was hard to get help and if I was not in a truck I was under it.

My sincere sympathy to the Kovach family. I meet Gary back in the fifties when he was my rubbish collector and have always found him to be a wonderful man who will be missed by many. May you rest in peace Gary. Sincerely, Betty Ebeling
