Gary Raymond Lindborg, 72, of Houston, MN passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Gundersen Care Center in Harmony, MN.
Gary was born on September 18, 1950, to Jack and Geraldine (Anderson) Lindborg in Richfield, MN. He graduated from Richfield High School and later went on to achieve a degree from Kennedy-Western University.
Gary was a Navy Seal and battled in Vietnam. He was a very proud veteran and later became a member of the National Rifle Association. When Gary lived in La Crescent, MN he was a gun instructor specializing in handgun safety. He eventually moved down to Texas to be closer to his parents and sister, Margie. He enjoyed his time in Texas for many years until moving back to the area in Houston, MN.
Gary was an avid football fan, especially the Minnesota Vikings. In his free time, he would be out riding his Harley Davidson with his buddies. This was such a huge part of his life, as well as collecting things. Wildlife scenes with eagles and wolves were some of his favorites.
He had a very close following of his Norse heritage and gained the nickname "Viking." He will be missed by so many.
Gary is survived by his mom, Geraldine; son, Matt (Nicole) Lindborg; his three beloved grandchildren, River, Freya, and Jack; and sister, Margie.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Jack; step-mom Mary Ann; and brother, Steve.
