Gary Menapace Obituary
The son of John and Vi (Lamminen) Menapace, Gary was born in 1950 at Stambaugh Hospital. Graduating in 1968 from West Iron County High School, he was employed by Aramark, Coleman Products, and the Stambaugh Cemetery. In his free time, Gary enjoyed fishing, walking, taking hikes, and camping with his wife.
Gary married C. Dianne Gjers Schinderle on August 7, 1976, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stambaugh, MI. The couple celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary in 2018. Dianne preceded him in death on May 28, 2019.
Gary is survived by his twin sister, Sherry Menapace of Caspian, MI; stepdaughter, Kerry (Patrick) Karamian of Erie, CO; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cousins.
In addition to his parents and loving wife, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Menapace; stepson, Bill Schinderle; and many aunts and uncles.
Private services will be held in the spring.
Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the Aspirus At Home-Hospice team for their excellent treatment of Gary. Your kindness and caring were a blessing at this difficult time.
