Gary G. Morgan, age 78, of Evans City, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 while under the care of UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.
Born March 29, 1943 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Lloyd Morgan and Hazel Aiken Hopper.
Gary proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Duquesne Light after 27 years of service.
Gary was a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church in Zelienople. He formerly coached baseball for the Evans City Athletics Association. He also coached the traveling girls' softball team and the Junior Olympics in the Evans City area. In his free time, he loved hunting, fishing, and camping. Above all, Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years, Helena Rodgers Morgan, who he married on September 16, 1967; his children, Darlene Morgan of Evans City, and Gary (Michelle) Morgan of Saxonburg; his grandchildren, Camren, Colten, Kaya, and Grady; and his sister, Becky Lambert of Butler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Brianne; and his brother, Richard.
Friends will be received from 12 P.M. until the time of the funeral service at 2 P.M. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Boylan Funeral Home, Inc., 116 E. Main Street, Evans City, PA 16033, with Rev. James R. Bertoti, officiating.
He will be laid to rest at the Zelienople Community Mausoleum.
