Sherie Diane Burchell, age 82, of Butler, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born August 8, 1943, in Erie, she was the daughter of the late Jack D. and Shirley (Baglin) Phillips.

After high school, Sherie raised a family of three girls, a dedicated stay-at-home mother. Sherie went on to receive her master's degree (magna cum laude) in graphic design from Chico State University. She filled her life with art, whether at work or home. She would paint with acrylic and watercolors inspired from her travels across the world. Sherie traveled to many national parks to see all their wonders, filling her heart and mind with knowledge and nature from every location. Her family finds joy in the fact she started on the eastern coast, then after marrying Roy, moved to Hawaii, California, Arizona, and then finding herself back in Pennsylvania. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Samantha (Bryan) Pascaretti, Pam (John) Bernardi, and Brenda (Rich) Wise; brothers, Robert (Laurene) Phillips and Donald (Andrea) Bowles; sisters, Carol Rieker and Sally (Jack) Martin; grandchildren, Trey Davis; Giovanni, Violetta, and Santino Bernardi; and Joshua Wise.

In addition to her parents, Sherie was preceded in death by her birthmother, Helen Christensen, husband Roy, and brother John Phillips.

Arrangements were entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16033.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to Red Wolf Recovery Program & U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, https://www.fws.gov/project/red-wolf-recovery-program.
