Funeral services for Gary Lee Morris, 71, of Gore, are being held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at the Agent Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial is at Box Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin funeral home.
Mr. Morris was born on Dec. 20, 1954, in Phoenix to Leo Sonny Morris and Mary Ima Laverne (Harp) Morris. He died on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, in Muskogee.
He worked in masonry and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He married Mae Jean Morris on Jan. 25, 1974, in Vian. She preceded him in death on Jan. 30, 2011.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Morris of Gore; three sisters, Angelia Chitty and Marilyn and Ralph James all of Gore and Terry and Larry Kash of Porum; one half sister, Lorrie and Justin Dyer of Tahlequah; one brother, Roger and Sandra Morris of Gore; one grandchild; and other family members and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Michelle Morris; one sister, Sandra Morris; one brother, Jimmie Morris; and one brother-in-law, Casey Chitty.
Pallbearers are Luke Morris, Josh Chitty, Adam Dozier, Ethan James, Rock Morris and Owen James.
