Judge Gary Glen Neddenriep, of Libertyville, Illinois passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, with his children at his side. He was born February 11, 1942, in the small farming town of Brock, Nebraska, the oldest of four children born to Glen and Eileen Neddenriep. Upon graduation from Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska he headed to Colorado to begin his career as a teacher. It was in Colorado that he met the love of his life, Marcia Miller. They married in 1966 and in 1969, they moved to Illinois, where Marcia was from, so Gary could attend law school at DePaul University. Upon graduation, Gary took a job at the Lake County State's Attorneys' Office and in May of 1985, he was appointed to the bench as an Associate Judge in Lake County, Illinois where he presided until his retirement in 2006. In his retirement he enjoyed gardening, traveling and reading.

Gary is survived by his son, Gregory Neddenriep (Christine) and granddaughter, Magdelynn Neddenriep, of Libertyville, Illinois and his daughter, Gretchen Neddenriep (Jr) of Third Lake, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia in 2017.
