John 14: 1-4 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going." Gary Wayne Oliver, 71, of Rose Bud, passed away on July 17, 2025. He was born on August 7, 1953, in Searcy, Arkansas, to the late Wilbur Oliver, Jr. and Imogene (Duncan) Oliver. Gary graduated in 1971 from Kensett High school and worked for Southwestern Bell telephone company for 25 years and later went on to work for AT&T for 15 years. Gary was a member of Kensett First Baptist Church. He is survived by Rita (Walls) Oliver his wife of fifty years; Sons, Bryan Oliver (Kaki) and Matthew Oliver; grandchildren, Ethan, Christian, Grayson, Kealee, Kian, Kiley, and Kaidence; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Debbie; uncle, Larry; and aunt, Virginia. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by grandchild, Keagan Oliver; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Vivian Walls. Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 26th, at South Cross Roads Church in Hopewell. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. www.powellfuneralhome.net
