Gary Owen Obituary
Gary was a 1961 graduate of Elizibethtown High School. He went on to further his education by attending Elizabethtown College and ultimately graduating from Penn State University with his Master's Degree. He worked as a high school social studies teacher for 30 years until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, Rosemarie, he is survived by their two sons, Gary V. Owen of PA Furnace, and Robert J. Owen of State College. Also surviving are two brothers, Donald Owen, and Thomas Owen, and a sister, Joyce O'Brian.
Gary enjoyed hunting deer and fishing and going out to his hunting camp "White Deer."
A public viewing will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. A time of sharing will begin at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home. Burial services will immediately follow at Zion Cemetery in Bellefonte.
