Gary Paulsrud, 80, of Fargo, passed away peacefully at Sanford Medical Center, surrounded by family and close friends.
Born in Minneapolis, Gary spent his early years in Hendrum, Minnesota, and later in Los Angeles, California. He was the beloved only son of Osmund and Pearl Paulsrud.
Gary attended Hendrum High School, where he was a standout basketball player. He went on to attend North Dakota State University, majoring in mathematics and psychology, while continuing to excel on the basketball court as a proud member of the Bison team.
After college, Gary began a successful career in the insurance industry in Fargo. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to found his own firm, PFG - The Producer's Financial Group, which he built with dedication and integrity.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer, cherished daughter, Kathryn, and beloved grandsons, Gunnar and Bode Fercho. He will be remembered for his warmth, his leadership, and his deep commitment to family and friends.
A Celebration of Gary's life will be held at 2pm, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at The Pines Event Venue in Davenport, ND.
