Gary Poff Obituary
Gary Lee Poff, age 69, of Young Harris, Georgia passed away Monday, July 17, 2023 after an extended illness. Gary was born to the late Walter and Elsie (Smith) Poff on December 11, 1953 in Elkton, Maryland. Gary loved to go to Chesapeake and catch blue crabs, watching westerns and was an excellent carpenter. He was a man who loved big but was a true believer of tough love. He will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William Franklin Poff, Walter Lee Poff Jr., Charles Edward Poff, William Franklin Poff, Robert 'Bobby' Poff; sister, Judith Ann Poff. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Poff, Rachell Bell; sons, Jonathan Lambert, Gary 'Bub' Poff Jr., Larry Thomas, Phillip Lambert, David Lambert; brothers, Mike Poff, Mark Poff; sisters, Linda Jane Poff Burton, Sherry Sue Poff Patchel, Tara Lynn Poff; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with one on the way and many nieces and nephews. No services are planned at this time. Banister-Cooper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Poff.
