Graveside services for Barbara Gail Smith Poff, 66, Wewoka will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, at Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka. Visitation will be held at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka, Wednesday, February 4, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and Thursday, February 5, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Barbara passed away at her home on January 24, 2026.
She was born October 22, 1959, in Biloxi, Mississippi, the third child of Dewey Dwight, Sr. and Naomi Ruth Smith. Her father was in the United States Air Force, and the family lived in many places before settling in Lubbock, Texas, at Reese Air Force Base. She attended Frenship Schools in Lubbock, and was a twirler and played clarinet in the high school band.
Barbara married Ricky Lee Poff on October 29, 1977, in Lubbock, Texas. They raised their family in Longmont, Colorado, and Lubbock, before relocating to Wewoka in 2000.
Barbara was a barber and owned Kountry Klippers in Lubbock. She later worked as the First Deputy in the Seminole County Treasurer's office before her retirement in 2013.
She enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren; baking, reading, and spending lazy days at their cabin in the Ouachita Mountains .
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Ricky, of the home; daughter, Jenna Madron and husband Wayne, Wewoka; son, Jay Poff and wife Stephanie, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; grandchildren, Benjamin and Abbigail Madron, Wewoka; sister, Rhonda Smith, Wewoka; brother, Dewey Smith, Jr., and wife Adriane Sirben, Penrose, Colorado; brothers-in law Danny Poff and wife Rebecca, Shell Knob, Missouri, and Michael Poff and wife, Kelly, Osceola, Missouri; sister-in-law Starla Finch, and husband Michael, Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and loved ones.
