Gary Ponthier Obituary
A Funeral Mass for Gary Ponthier will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with Rev. Derek Ducote officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Ponthier, age 54 of Moreauville, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 at his residence.
Gary retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons (Pollock) after 20 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Connie Darbonne.
Survivors include his sons, Brandon Ponthier (Hanna) of Hessmer and Dustin Ponthier of Cottonport; his father, Charles Ponthier of Hessmer; brother, Ray Ponthier (Sara) of Hessmer; sister, Lisa Labbe (Gerard) of Alexandria; his grandchildren, Ella Ponthier, Karson Rozas, and Konner Ponthier; the mother of his children, Jan Rabalais Ponthier; and his dog, Pippa.
Friends may visit on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
