Gary Lee Quick

Funeral services for Gary Lee Quick, 79, of Ashland, LA will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Foster Arbor Assembly of God Church with Bro. Face Lovell officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Friday, October 10, 2025, at Foster Arbor Assembly of God Church. Services under the direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home, Coushatta, LA.

Mr. Quick was born April 26, 1946, in Chestnut, LA and passed away October 2, 2025.

In his earlier years, Gary played both basketball and softball. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed both hunting and fishing. He was a simple man who loved to garden and tend to flowers and fresh vegetables. Gary always looked forward to sitting at the table for biscuits and gravy.

He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those treasured memories will live on forever in their lives and he will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Maxine Quick, and brother, James Roy Quick.

Mr. Quick is survived by his wife, Carolyn Quick; two daughters, June Roderick and husband, Michael and Janet Waguespack and husband, Jan; one brother, David Quick and wife, Kim; four sisters, Kathy Cloud and husband, Tommy, Donna Loftin, Shelia Bates and husband, Keith, and Tonyia Johnson; six grandchildren: Andrew Roderick, Kyle Roderick, Jonathan Waguespack, Victoria Roderick, Jordan Waguespack, and Jamie Waguespack; and two great-grandchildren, Nellie June Roderick and Maeva Faith Roderick.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Quick, Heath Bates, Hunter Wilson, Jeffrey Lovell, Jonathan Waguespack, Andrew Roderick, Kyle Roderick, Thad Bates, Collin Bates, and Jordan Waguespack. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Campbell, Cooper Taylor, Bryan Taylor, David Howard, Little David Quick, Tommy Cloud, Scotty Johnson, Curtis Meyers, Randy Quick, Corey Vise, Wacy Johnson, and Landrie Meyers.
