Gary John Raymer

Garold "Gary" Raymer was born at Atkinson Memorial Hospital December 3, 1960 to William and Betty (Osborne) Raymer. He was the second of four children born to them and the only son.
Gary attended District 74R – country school until 8th grade then went to West Holt High School graduating in 1979. Gary went to work at his parent's dairy after graduation.
He married Betsy Becker in 1982. To this union three children were born: Brian, Cory and Jessica. Gary worked for Ron Holtgrew after the dairy quit. He enjoyed farming but he loved trucking and so in 2004 he became an over-the-road truck driver. After a while he quit the extensive travel and did just local hauls so that he could focus more on farming with his son Brian. In 2013, he had a cardiac arrest, and he would say that it was a wake-up call. He had not been involved with his church but then started to get more involved. He was an elder and was the President of the church at the time of his passing. The other joy in his life were his 2 granddaughters whom he loved to tease, and they teased him back!
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty; sister Patti Shields, and his in-laws Rudolph & Adeline Becker
He is survived by his wife Betsy, sons Brian (Tara) and Cory; daughter Jessica, granddaughters Zella and Sterling, sisters Deb (Dave) Shipman and Mary (Allen) Reece, sisters-in-law Glenna (Rich) Burns and Janet Vargas; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
