Sauser, age 59 Address: 3520 Pennsylvania Ave. #202 Formerly: 1738 Avalon Rd. passed away at 3:55 p.m., Monday April 9, 2012 at home of natural causes Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at St. Raphael's Cathedral, 231 Bluff St. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, following cremation. To celebrate Gary's life friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Behr Funeral Home. There will be a parish wake service at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Behr Funeral Home. Gary was born on July 29, 1952, in Dubuque, IA, son of Robert G. and Leona (Menadue) Sauser. Gary attended Wahlert High School and was a 1970 graduate of Dubuque Senior High School. He attended the University of Dubuque studying Architecture before joining the US Air Force. Gary was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam Era. Gary married Lynne L. Kowalski on October 26, 1985, at Holy Ghost Church in Dickeyville, WI. He worked for Peoples Natural Gas, for 28 years. Gary could do just about anything, he was a fisherman, carpenter, architect and inventor. He was an avid turkey, pheasant and bow hunter. Gary was a member of Pheasants Forever and the Wild Turkey Federation. He enjoyed playing the guitar. Gary was a good role model and father figure to many. He was always there whenever anyone needed him. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his daughters. Gary is survived by his 2 daughters, who were the light of his life and the wind in his sails, Elizabeth Sauser, Chicago, IL Kathryn Sauser, Dubuque, IA His siblings, Gregory R. Sauser, Greenville, SC Randy J. Sauser, Dubuque, IA Shawn A. (Sandra J.) Sauser, Peosta, IA Douglas C. Sauser, Dubuque, IA Mary L. (James E.) Patch, Dubuque, IA His former wife, Lynne L. Sauser, Dubuque, IA many nieces and nephews Gary was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, John A. in infancy and Robert D. "Bobby" Sauser A Gary Sauser memorial fund has been established.
