In Memory of Gary Dean Searle

December 17, 1935 – January 17, 2021

On Sunday, January 17, 2021, Gary Dean Searle, loving father of three children, passed away at the age of 85.

Gary was born on December 17, 1935 in Vernal Utah to Ira and Stella Searle. He served in the United States Marine Corp from Aug 23, 1954 – Aug 22, 1957, where he was stationed in Okinawa Japan. On June 12, 1958, he married Carolyn Grange. They had three children, Deana, Paul, and Regina, and later divorced in 1976.

Gary had a passion for hunting, fishing, camping and bowling. He worked with his father and brother, owning their own cement finishing business for over 40 years. He said, "I loved to work hard" and he did! Although Gary was quiet, he was kind and loved his family. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Gary was preceded in death by his father Ira, his mother Stella, brother Ray, sister Reva, grandson Lance, granddaughter Brittany, and great-grandson Logan. He is survived by his three children: Deana Vanderstappen, Paul and Marianne Searle, and Regina Campbell, his eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and his sisters, Jean, Ann, and Barbara.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 for family members at Aarons Mortuary – 496 24th Street, Ogden, UT from 9:00 – 10:30 am. Graveside services with be held at Washington Heights Memorial Park at 11:00 am.
