Gary Lynn Spraggins, age 54, passed away on September 18th, 2025, in Jacksonville, TX.

He was born to parents Harold Wayne and Shirley Spraggins on October 12,1970 in Jacksonville.

He lived a simple and quiet life, and though he faced his share of struggles, he will be remembered for the ways he touched the lives of those around him. His daughter, Tayler, was his greatest source of pride, and he leaves behind memories that she and others will carry forward. Throughout his life he worked as both a sawyer and a welder. Outside of work, Gary had a witty sense of humor, loved listening to music, and never missed a chance to sing karaoke. He found companionship and conversation right here at the local VFW, where he spent much of his time and built lifelong friendships.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold Wayne and Shirley Spraggins.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Tayler Spraggins of Bullard, his brother Dale Spraggins and wife, Liz of Jacksonville, his sister Carla Garland and husband Phillip of Mt. Selman. Nieces Brandi Wallace, Krystal Griffith, Amanda Buckley, Whitney Hunt and many beloved great-nieces and nephews.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 28th at 3pm at the VFW in Jacksonville.
