Kelly Brooke Nelson, age 40, of Fort Knox, KY, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2025.

She was born on September 30, 1984. In Painesville, OH. Daughter of Denise Lin Nelson and the late William Ray Nelson.

Kelly was a proud military wife, mother, and a member of Muldraugh Baptist Church. She was great at anything she set her mind to. Being a mother was her greatest joy in life. One of Kelly's greatest passions was being a softball mom. She served in many capacities, honoring those she loved and cared for.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jimmy Spraggins of 21 years; her mother, children, Britney Spraggins and Madelyn Spraggins; sister, Michelle (Kyle) Hammon; brother, Billy (Elizabeth) Nelson; and many relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. EDT and, continue at Muldraugh Baptist Church on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 12:00-2:00 P.M.

Funeral Services will be held at Muldraugh Baptist Church on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. EDT, Pastor Trevor Bates officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Muldraugh Baptist Church (P.O. Box 397, Muldraugh, KY 40155)
