Vicky Lynn Ashmore, age 65 of Battletown, KY passed away on August 8, 2025 in Elizabethtown, KY. She was born on March 22, 1960, in Louisville, KY daughter of the late Velda Joann (Raymond) Bennet and Dewey Lee Brewer. Along with her parents Vicky was preceded in death earlier this year by her husband of 49 years, Bruce Wayne Ashmore, Sr. Vicky was a great "Nana" who loved her grandkids. She enjoyed raising her children and even helped to raise many of her nieces, nephews, and anyone who may have needed a home. Vicky's door was always open to help people. Along with her love of children, Vicky was a die-hard U of L Football and Basketball fan! When she wasn't raising kids, Vicky worked as an accountant, CFO, and office administrator for Greenwell Manufacturing in Brandenburg. She loved life and enjoyed traveling especially going on cruises and camping with her husband. She is survived by her children, Bruce Wayne (Melody) Ashmore, Jr., Rebecca Mae Ashmore, Joe David (Sarah) Ashmore, and John Thomas (Alicia) Ashmore; grandchildren, Haley Moore, Grace Ashmore, Michael Moore, Abigail Ashmore, Bruce Wayne Ashmore, III, John Wayne Ashmore, and Della Lynn Ashmore; sister, Lisa Andrake; brothers, David (Dottie) Brewer, Matt Bennett, and Jeff Bennett; and a host of family both blood and chosen. Visitation will be held at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 4-8:00 P.M. and after 11:00 A.M. on Friday August 15, 2025 Funeral services will be held at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Tom Bridge officiating. Burial will follow next to her husband in Evergreen Cemetery, Louisville, KY
