Gary Lee Staten, 69, of Martinsville, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Community Hospital South. He was born in Indianapolis to the late Robert Edward Staten and the late Leona May (Burkhart) Staten on February 24, 1954.
Gary was a graduate of Southport High School. He was a jack of all trades and was a gifted mechanic. He greatly enjoyed riding his Harley. Additionally, he was an animal lover and enjoyed the companionship of his two dogs, Tobin and Weenie, and his cat, Miss Kity.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends including his wife, Shana Staten of Martinsville; brother, Gilbert (wife, Laura) Staten of Camby; and niece, Rosemary Rogers and her family.
Gary’s earthly remains have been cremated and there are no services planned at this time. Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements.
