Gary Richard Still Sr.

Gary Richard Still, Sr., 76, of McKeesport, PA, peacefully transitioned home on February 16, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones at Jefferson Hospital.

Born on October 2, 1949, Gary is the middle son of Janie Spears Coleman and Robert Dewayne Still. He graduated from McKeesport High School and later worked at the U.S. Steel National Tube Works, McKeesport Housing Authority, S&S Taxi Services, and other various jobs, including being an extra in the movie Lady Beware (1987).

Gary was a faithful member of Trinity Church of God in Christ, where he served on the Deacon Board. As the patriarch of his family, he was known for his kindness, unwavering faith, unconditional love, selflessness, and determination. He touched the lives of many through prayer and service. In his leisure time, he enjoyed collecting coins, playing pool, browsing the internet on his computer, and just spending quality time with his loved ones. Gary was an expert chess player and loved to share his love and knowledge of chess with his grandson Evan. He would profess his love for Jesus Christ to whoever would lend an ear and always made the best of any situation.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, father, Robert DeWayne Still, and mother, Janie Spears Coleman.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 55 years Mosezelia "Granny" Still, son, Gary(Erika) Still, Jr., daughters, Tera Still and Mosezelia (Jason) Still, grandchildren, Britney, Tiera, Taylor, Savanah, Blair, Bianca, and Evan, 5 great-grandchildren, brothers, Robert DeWayne( Barbara) Still, Jr., Gregory(Joann) Still, Donnie Tyree, sister, Valda Tyree, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
