Obituary
Gary F. Stulc
August 13, 1952- August 27, 2025
Gary passed away peacefully at home on August 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on August 13, 1952, in Lewistown, Montana, to Frank and Viola Stulc, Gary spent his early years in Winifred, attending the Flax one-room schoolhouse until the family relocated to Basin, Wyoming in 1960. From a young age, his love for animals and agriculture shined brightly, leading to many achievements in FFA. After graduating from Basin High School, Gary pursued agricultural sciences at Northwest College.
Answering a call to serve, Gary enlisted in the military and was served in field artillery. His gift for connecting with others quickly became clear, and he found great fulfillment as a recruiter. Gary proudly served 20 years in the National Guard, building lifelong friendships along the way.
On April 4, 1981, he married Jackie Roberts. That same year, they welcomed their daughter Stephanie. Their daughter Sarah followed in 1986. Whenever asked what he was most proud of, Gary never hesitated to say, "my kids and my grandkids." His family was the heart of his world.
Gary will be remembered as a kind and generous man, always willing to give the shirt off his back-even when he had little himself-and he always did so with a smile. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed shooting, and loved the outdoors, but above all else, he loved his family.
One of the greatest gifts Dad gave us was his love of living things. He shared his love of animals with his kids, teaching us how to care for them with patience and gentleness. He was just as proud of his flowers, tending to them with the same devotion, watching them bloom year after year.
But what mattered most was the way he taught us to live. He showed us, by his own example, to be kind, generous, and loving-not only to every living thing, but especially to those people who needed love the most. His heart was wide enough to make room for anyone, and his lessons will stay with us forever.
Through his hands we learned how to value hard work, through his words we learned how to laugh, and through his love we learned how to truly live.
He is welcomed home by his daughter Stephanie, his parents Frank and Viola Stulc, and his brothers Robert and Richard.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Sarah (Thomas), and his grandchildren, Xavier, Kylie, Telanna and Caydence; his siblings, Linda (Doug) Smith, Donna (Leland) Stulc-Johnson, Thomas Stulc, Deborah Stulc, Betty Stulc, Edward Stulc, Kenneth (Arlene) Stulc, Steven Stulc, and Frank (Patty) Stulc Jr. He has many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will take place Friday, September 5, 2025 at 9:00am, Rosary at 9:30am, and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greybull, Wyoming followed by interment on Saturday September 6 at 10:00 am in Winifred, Montana.
