78 year old former Fairfield resident, Gary L. Tracy of White House, TN passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 26, 2025 surrounded by family.

Gary was born November 1, 1946 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois to Charles and Lucretia (Buchanan) Tracy. After graduating from FCHS, Gary enlisted in the US Air Force, serving for 4 years. He spent one year of his service in DaNang Vietnam.

Gary married Kathy Stewart on September 23, 1967 in Fairfield, Illinois. Gary and Kathy celebrated 57 years of marriage. He worked for the City of Fairfield in the Gas Department for over 27 years.

Gary is survived by his wife; Kathy of White House, TN. One son; Doug, one daughter; Julie and three grandchildren; Hannah, Morgan and Lauren Tracy along with one sister; Eleanor Schrieber. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gene.

Graveside services for Gary L. Tracy will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Maple Hill Cemetery with military rites provided by the Anthony Wayne Post 176, American Legion and Wayne Memorial Post 4535, VFW. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery. There will be no visitation.
