Gary Dodd Vanderberg

 Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends for Mr. Gary Dodd Vanderberg, 78, of West Monroe, LA, will be held 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, April 25, 2025, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe. Private Inurnment will be held at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, LA.

Mr. Vanderberg was born March 19, 1947, and passed away on April 12, 2025. He served his country in the United States Army, transferring to the United States Army National Guard, transferring to the United States Air Force and ending with the United States Air Force Reserves. Mr. Vanderberg retired from General Motors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by parents, Robert “Bobby” Vanderberg and Melba Dodd Yeldell; two brothers, Larry Vanderberg and Hubert Yeldell; and son, Brandon Vanderberg.

Survivors include three sons, Eric Vanderberg and wife Lisa, Michael Vanderberg and wife Amber, Daniel Vanderberg and wife Brooke; four grandchildren, Cayden Vanderberg, Alexis Vanderberg, Leighton Vanderberg, and Levi Vanderberg; sister, Melba Jean Yeldell; brother, Steven Vanderberg; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the friends and family that helped take care of him these past few months.
