Julia "Judy" Carpenter

Funeral services for Julia "Judy" Carpenter, 85, will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Pastor James De'L George will be officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 2:00 PM until the time of service.

Judy was born on October 15, 1940 and passed away on February 26, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Judy was a faithful caregiver for her husband and mother for many years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and found most joy in cooking for her family, especially Sunday lunch.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Carpenter; daughter, Vicki Lynn Carpenter; son, Dennis Ray Carpenter; father, D.L. George; mother, Mary Etta George; and brothers, James George and Johnny George.

Judy leaves behind her children, John Paul Carpenter and wife Robin, Denise Pixley and husband Larry, Terry Carpenter and wife Tina; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Sanderson; and other extended family and friends.

Honoring Judy as pallbearers will be Jordan Pixley, Trevor Adams, Andy Hudson, Bobby Carpenter, Scott Carpenter and Drew Williams.

Honorary pallbearers are Sha Etheridge and Larry Pixley.
