Terese,
This was not what I expected to see when I signed onto FM Global Port. I'm not sure if you'll remember me, but I'm the bartender at One Bistro in the Four Points hotel. I am so sorry for you loss. It was a pleasure getting to know you both while you stayed here a year ago. Sending you lots of love and prayers.
Love, Kaitlyn Wakem

Dear Walkeapaa family,

Though words may seem insufficient in moments like this, please know that our hearts are deeply with you as you grieve the sudden loss of Gary. His memory, though freshly punctuated by sorrow, is a vibrant testament to the strength, love, and joy that he brought into this world.

Gary´s spirit, rooted in the heart of Easton and shining through his dedication to family, heritage, and passion, leaves an enduring mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. It is a rare gift to live with such purpose and authenticity, and Gary´s life stands as a beacon of both dedication and humility. Whether in his roles as a loving husband, a son, or a brother, he exemplified what it means to be a person of integrity, warmth, and laughter.

His love for his Finnish heritage, his dedication to his family, and his commitment to the values that defined him, remind us of the simple, yet profound beauty in each moment shared. We are inspired by the life he lived, and our hope is that the love and peace he radiated will continue to guide you through the days ahead.

As you reflect on his legacy, may you find comfort in knowing that he touched so many lives, and that the memory of his laughter, his dedication, and his love will echo in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

With deepest sympathy and love,
David and Christine Stein

Ive known gary since junior high and he was always a sharp well mannered fella. Gary was also one of the best hosts I have ever met. He would pull together platters of fine foods, Eastern European cheeses and fruit spreads. He also had the authentic sauna all set up, and we watched some great world cup hockey. It was a unique experience and something I won't ever forget. Gary was a good man, I will miss him, and the conversations we'd have from time to time. Rest in peace my friend

I am so sad to learn of this. My deepest condolences Terese, family, friends and brothers.

Gary and I were pretty tight while active members of TKE fraternity, he was my go to confident. Remained in touch for a few years thereafter until I moved to Virginia in 2008. I wish I could turn the clock back and marvel at his beautiful Chevelle park in my garage in Lakeville, MA, anxiously waiting for the day that Gary dropped in a new engine and went cruising.

RIP brother. Your In The Bond , LLDJ #320.

It is with profound shock and sadness that I learned of Gary´s passing. Having worked with Gary for many years, we ended up sharing an office in our temporary building for the past year. We spent many hours talking and commiserating about work related challenges.
Gary was not just a colleague but a friend, and his presence will be deeply missed. My heartfelt condolences go out to his wife, family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
The attached photo, taken in February of 2020, shows Gary with some colleagues at a restaurant near our workplace, capturing a moment of camaraderie and joy.

I worked with Gary for 20 years, but my favourite memories are of him teasing me over yet another sporting loss for the various England teams involved in the Winter Olympics, World Cup, etc. I am really going to miss him.

I'm so sorry to hear that Gary has passed. I know that Terese is devastated, as are so many. There were some fun laughs that Diane and I had with Terese and Gary, especially when we pronounced him as our favorite boyfriend. We will all miss you, "Boyfriend"!!

Working with Gary and enjoying his company for 20 years where do I start recollecting my favorite memory of him? There had been so many of them. How many times we laughed together? Even now I can see his smiling face so vividly... but my eyes tear up. Goodbye Gary.
