Gary Duane Watson passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024. He lived in Dallas, Georgia for 20+ years with his wife, Elaine and his dogs Marley and Belly.

Duane was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 9, 1963, and lived in Georgia most of his life. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, the Georgia Bulldogs, tattoos, collecting antiques and rocking out to Metallica. But most of all he loved his family.

He owned Absolute Tattoo Studio in Dallas and Douglasville from 2008 to 2015, and Steel Magnolia Tattoo in Hiram from 2018 to 2023.

Duane is preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Cooper; mother-in-law, Evelyn Cannon; grandmothers, Mildred Arnett, and Grace Cooper; aunt, Julia Wyatt; uncle, Garry Carman; and many friends lost along the path of life.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Letitia Elaine Watson; his children: son, Marshall Christopher Thompson (48) and his wife, Vicky; daughter, Ashley Nicole Watson (38) and her husband, Corey Forgeur; and his grandson, Jackson Scott Forgeur (9); his father, Alvie Watson of Kentucky; sister, Juanita Malone and her husband, Brad; brother, Tommy Watson and his wife, Tina of Kentucky; cousin, Stephanie Stevens, of Texas; uncle, Darrel Carman, of Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 12:00 noon until the service hour.

The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2024 in the Clark Funeral Home Chapel.

In accordance with Duane's wishes, he will be cremated following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Clark Funeral Home to help defray final expenses. Please call 770-445-7133.
