Gary Weightman Obituary
Born on April 8, 1953 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Charles Wayne Weightman (Stepmother Helen Weightman), and Mother Jean Delores Steen (Stepfather Junius Steen). Gary worked for Charles County Public Schools Transportation Department as a bus driver, he absolutely adored his children, parents and co-workers. Before that he operated and managed Warehouse liquors for over 25 years until he sold the business and retired. After his retirement he also ran the family farm for about 14 years. Through his years Gary enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling in his motorhome, spending time with his family, friends and also his 3 pups Peanut, Zeke, and Ella. He will truly be missed by all!
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his younger brother Timothy Patrick Steen.
He is survived by his daughter Heather Hammett (husband Brian); grandchildren Garrett, Alana, and Braelyn. His siblings Randy Weightman (wife Karen), Donnajean Olson, Melanie Johnson (husband Joel), also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 4:30PM until time of service at 6:00PM at Raymond's Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
