In his spare time, he participated in both the summer softball league and winter bowling leagues and he never met a person he could not strike up a conversation with. Many would say his laugh, you could pick him out of a crowd with and hear from across the room. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and Chicago Bears Fan.
