My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Gary Williams. Gary was an outstanding umpire for ASA/USA Softball and was a mentor to me and many others. His legacy as a teacher, leader, and friend will live on in all who knew him.

I became acquainted with Gary when I worked as a School Counselor at Lathrop Street. We knew him affectionately as "Pa". He was loving, respectful, and a pleasure to know. Unfortunately, I will be out of town for his services. Pa will always hold a special place in my memories of working with families, and Damon remains one of my favorite students. God will reward Gary for a life well lived.

My condolences to you and your family. As a young boy, my cousin Gary would come pick me up on game night and head to the softball field on Rt 11. Gary let me keep the stats book for the Williams Flagstone team. It was a great experience for me and started my love for sports. I just remember how tall he was then and that voice. Always be great memories for me. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by all his friends and especially his family.
