Gavin Padric Conroy

Gavin Conroy, age 23, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Wednesday August 10, 2022. Gavin was born December 24, 1998. In his short 23 years, he was an inspiration and light to many people.
Gavin graduated from Oakleaf High School in 2017. He was a loving and loyal family member and friend. He loved spending time with loved ones and often integrated both friends and family in singular gatherings. Gavin was a constant source of support and guidance for his two younger siblings and provided an ever-present sense of calm and peace to his mom. He was a loving pet parent to his cat, Stumpy, and loved sharing videos of her antics. Gavin enjoyed the outdoors and could often be found with friends wandering a trail in search of a waterfall or tending to his assortment of plants that allowed him to bring the outdoors in. He was an incredibly outgoing and friendly person which provided him the skills necessary to be an amazing server at Outback Steakhouse in Orange Park, Florida.
Gavin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Guthrie Sr. He is survived by his mother, Donna Conroy; father, John-paul Conroy; siblings, Megan Conroy and Evan Conroy; grandparents, Jack and Jackie Conroy; grandparents, Bill and Carolyn Whitlatch; and lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins- all who love him dearly. Over the last 4 months, he was cared for at Uf Shands Burn Unit in Gainesville, Florida by the most patient, talented, and caring group of doctors, nurses, and patient care assistants who provided the highest standard of care and support to both Gavin and his family.
A funeral service for Gavin will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
