Gaye M. Lutz, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on January 20, 1939, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late William and Thanetta McIntosh. Gaye was the cherished baby of her family, the younger sister to one older brother.

Gaye dedicated her life to her family, often bringing them together for cherished moments and laughter. She was married to the love of her life, James (Jim) Lutz, who sadly passed away in 1983. Together, they nurtured a family that has grown to include four children, daughter Karen Orr (John), son Jim Lutz (Heidi), son Bill Lutz (Debbie), and daughter Pam Lutz. Her legacy also lives on through six grandchildren, Diana, Chris, Alec, Nick, Patrick and Jessica, three great-grandchildren Carmen, MaKayla, Billy, and two great-great-grandchildren Emiliano and Lihanna, sister-in-law Judy Lutz, and Cousin Lee Wiley along with other cousins, nieces and nephews. Family gatherings were filled with warmth and love, enhanced by Gaye's delightful sewing creations, including cuddly teddy bears and cherished Cabbage Patch Kids crafted for her grandbabies.

An avid lover of the outdoors, Gaye found joy in simple pleasures, whether it was enjoying a hot dog and chocolate milk from the Varsity or swinging while looking over her garden. Known for her adventurous spirit, she cherished her travels, embracing every opportunity to explore new places.

Gaye's love will be honored in a graveside service at North Atlanta Memorial Park on August 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM.

Gaye's life was a tapestry woven with love, creativity, and a spirit that will be dearly missed. She will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched."
