Gayle Epperson Obituary
Gayle found joy in life's simple pleasures - spring flowers, sewing something with her own hands, enjoying a good honky-tonk with a cold beer, music and dancing - and most of all, spending time with her family. Some of her happiest moments were gathered around a table covered in boiled seafood, laughing, talking, and simply being together. Those ordinary, messy, beautiful moments meant everything to her.
She had a creative spirit and deep appreciation for the small things. Whether tending her flower beds or sharing stories with people she loved, she brought warmth, character, and her own unmistakable presence to every room.
She will be remembered for her spirit, her love of family, and the simple joys that shaped her life.
She is survived by her children; Annie Donaldson (Doug) and Brady Guidry (Kati); grandchildren, Brock, Jonah, Cameron, Cohen, Zayne, Kaydence and Cruz; sister, Mary Linda Adams (Jerome) and Anita Belanger (Sonny); nieces and nephews, Lisa Carlos, Chad Belanger, Jill Trulove and Johnny Adams; and first husband, Larry Guidry.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ann Guidry; parents, John Junior Marie and Ismay Marie Naquin; and niece, Dawn Lirette.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Samart Funeral Home (4511 West Park Ave., Gray) from 9:00 AM until service time. A religious service will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Broadway Nursing Home in Lockport, Louisiana and to hospice care for their compassion, dignity and kindness shown during Gayle's final days.

Our deepest condolences go out to Annie and all of her family. We miss her terribly here at Broadway. She was a good friend and remembering the special time we had with her back here on the porch.
