Enes J. Trahan Jr.

Enes Joseph Trahan Jr., a native and resident of Houma, LA, passed away on Sunday February 15, 2026 at the age of 79.

Enes served as a deacon for 26 years at West St. Charles Baptist as well as Christ Baptist Church where he was passionately involved in Prison Ministries and Mission trips in Romania, Mexico and throughout the U.S. He loved fishing but loved being a fisher of men even more. He sported the most immaculate beard and mutton chops. He loved singing, playing the guitar, the accordion, and the harmonica. He loved cooking, loved his Saints, LSU, and all things WWE wrestling, especially The Undertaker. Most of all, he fiercely loved his family and friends and never met a stranger. His faith in God was unwavering.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Pauline Eschete Trahan; son, Enes Michael "Mike" Trahan (Lindsay); daughters, Dawn White (Jeff), Michelle Orgeron, Angela Truitt, and Tiffany Collins (Conley); brother; Glen Trahan (Jackie); sister, Denise Trahan Renard; grandchildren, Kevin Viteaux (Tiffany), Casey Viteaux (Edgardo), Megan Wesley (Nicholas), Dylan Trahan, Ellen Babin, Wayne Babin Jr. (Cheyenne), Gelia White, Dominic White, Valentine Orgeron, Hannah Atkinson (Micah), Sarah Orgeron, Raithe Van Whalraven, Willow Orgeron, Madeline Truitt, Gabriel Truitt, Avery Trahan, Vanessa Trahan, and Elias Collins; great-grandchildren; Kaden Viteaux, Bryce Viteaux, Zoe Viteaux, Skylie Viteaux, Noah Wesley, Mason Wesley, Karsen Babin, Zayne Babin, Braelynn Babin, Zaelynn Sanchez, Vivica Van Whalraven, and baby Atkinson; great-great-grandchildren, Autumn Viteaux, Emory Viteaux, and Ensley Viteaux.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine and Enes Trahan Sr.; daughters, Nancy Gomillion and Kelly Trahan; brother, Nathan Trahan; sister Patrice Brunet; and grandchild, Aiden Truitt.

Visitation will be held on Saturday February 28, 2026, at Christ Baptist Church, 1700 East Tunnel Blvd. Houma, LA 70363 starting at 10:00am until 12:00 noon, with a funeral service to immediately follow.
