Gayle Kampmann, born on September 27, 1948, peacefully passed away on November 10, 2025. She leaves behind a cherished legacy marked by her deep love for family, her commitment to her faith, and her passions in life.
Gayle was the beloved mother of David (Shelley) Kampmann Jr. and a proud grandmother of eight, with one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brothers, Ron (Margaret) Morgan and Bobby Morgan, and her sister-in-law Laurie (the late Jim) Morgan, who will forever hold her memory dear in their hearts.
A dedicated member of her community, Gayle was actively involved in her church, where she found joy and purpose in attending Bible studies and contributing to the congregation. In her leisure time, she embraced the simple pleasures of life: reading, solving puzzles, and in her younger years she enjoyed scrapbooking with her mother and sister. She also cherished the moments spent traveling and going to St. Louis Cardinals games with her husband, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Her profound impact on those around her will be reflected in the countless lives she touched. Gayle was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Kampmann; her daughter, Laura Davis; her grandson, David III; her brother, Jim Morgan; her sister, Marilyn (Richard) (nee Morgan) Sprung; and her parents, Donald Morgan and Lorene (Adams) Kunz, as well as her step-father, Joe Kunz.
Friends and family are invited to honor Gayle’s life during the following services: a visitation on November 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri; and a visitation on November 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles, Missouri.
As we remember Gayle, let us celebrate her vibrant spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and her dedication to her community and faith. She will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered.
