Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - St. PetersPatrick Auxenty Stepetin, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, in Moscow Mills, Missouri. Born on April 2, 1948, in St. Paul Island, Alaska; Patrick was a proud Native Alaskan/Aleut of the Aleutian Islands. He lived a life filled with devotion, service, and a love for his family that was palpable to all who knew him
At 15 years old Patrick moved from St. Paul Island to St. Louis, Missouri. Patrick graduated from McCluer High School in 1967. He then dedicated over thirty years to his career as the owner of New Horizon's Landscaping. Through his work, he brought beauty to countless homes, and his artistry shone through in everything he undertook.
Patrick's early years were marked by his strong dedication to serving his country. He honorably served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1974, during which he was recognized for his commitment with several commendations, including the First Good Conduct Award and the Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon. His military service helped shape the man he became, instilling in him values of hard work and integrity that he carried through his entire life.
Patrick was more than just a hardworking man; he was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He took immense joy in his hobbies, which included deer hunting, golfing, and bowling. However, his greatest love was teaching his children about life, sharing not only skills but also values and wisdom that would guide them throughout their lives. Patrick was a proud member of Friends of Bill W. for 49 years. His legacy of love and learning will continue to resonate through the years.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Mary Anne Stepetin, alongside their four daughters, Tracy (Steve) Helmich, Katy Wilkinson, Kate (Kevin) Clooney, and Laure (Mike) Danner, and their two sons, Tony (Janelle) Stepetin and Tom Stepetin. Patrick also enjoyed the companionship of his grandchildren: Jordyn, MaKenzie, Quinn, Jayce, Taylor, Lucas, Brittany, Jake, Shannon, Mikaela, Kaitlin, Colten, Izzy, and was the proud great-grandpa to eight great-grandchildren. His family was his pride and joy, and his spirit will forever live on in their hearts.
Patrick is preceded in death by his parents, Auxenty Stepetin and Kleopatra Stepetin nee Krukoff, as well as his siblings: Ruth Chambers, Boris Stepetin, Myra Webster, Dora Hoffman, and Tommy Stepetin. They welcomed him with open arms.
